  Our Team

Amy J. Friedman, CEO/President & Founder

Amy Friedman is more than the leader of her company — she's a leader in her industry. Her strategic thinking and ability to drive change have pushed her own company to the forefront of its field, earning Partners in Human Resources International a well-deserved reputation as one of the most effective and innovative companies in the business.

A pioneer among a new generation of women-owned businesses, Amy founded Partners International in 1993. With her history of corporate and entrepreneurial success, a background in industrial psychology and a strong core of integrity, Amy brings an unusual mix of talent and accomplishment to her role as CEO and President. Those qualities are greatly valued by her company's clients, who also welcome her collaborative style.

Amy works in an advisory capacity with her Managing Directors of Career Services and Human Capital Consulting to ensure that all clients — from multinational corporations to mid-size companies, from global to local — achieve successful outcomes. She has an unerring eye for the problem behind the problem, and her analytical approach makes her an invaluable ally in resolving challenges while attaining — even exceeding - business goals.
Clients appreciate that Amy understands their human resources issues within the context of their overall business needs. She brings a wealth of experience with every type of corporate model to each task, having worked within Fortune 500 corporations and heading up business development and strategy for several human resources consulting firms before founding her own company.

Amy's ability to create a highly successful teamwork structure — for her clients and within her own company — distinguishes her from other CEOs in her field. She is known for working with the brightest consultants and coaches in the business, and then allowing them to work in a creative manner. These professionals aren't risk-averse, they aren't afraid to think outside any box, and they work in a cross-discipline collaboration founded on mutual respect.
Most importantly, Amy runs her company with integrity. Her own values — including an ethics-based approach to all business decisions and a belief in the positive strength of diversity — infuse every project. She brings those same values to the operation of her own company, where ethics and diversity are key to Partners International's best practices.

Because of her success, Amy is often asked to help people who are launching businesses, and she views consulting on start-up projects as a way to give back to the community. She also sits on the board of the José Limón Dance Foundation and is heavily involved in environmental causes.
As with her work, Amy Friedman's causes convey her breadth of interest and depth of commitment.
